I don't know about black onyx, but I used to have a Cannonball Raven with the dark Picasso Jasper stone touches. I liked the way they felt under my fingers, and they would probably give you the look you want on your silver plate horn. I don't know how much they are, but you can order them through a Cannonball dealer.

That's a possibility. I want the black look. i have a silver ring (actually white gold) with black onyx that belonged to my grandfather and like the way it looks. Thanks for the idea. Any clue what it would take to have them swapped out?

Well, some of them are simply glued in. Cannonballs have them glued in. Some rubber cement actually.(I had to replace some). Perhaps someone can chime in.

I order mine through the local music store's repairman, but I don't believe you have that line of stores. You could probably e-mail them with some measurements and ask.

No problem! I'm not sure if they'd be able to help you out with being in Georgia.

There's also a member here somewhere that's a member of Cannonball. Might be able to help you out if they have the same dimensions.

That would be "RandalCannonball" - give him a PM/e-mail. He's usually quite helpful.
