im looking for a metal mouthpiece to match my cannonball raven tenor sax, and i would like it to be black...good. Now i probaly won't go looking for another month or so...but i just wanted to know if they make metal mouthpieces in black...and which brand is the best...i think this is clear...i don't know im kinda sick today so...
That's a great way to select a mouthpiece...
At least in the sense that it restricts drastically your viable options to just 2: Zagar Cool/Hot School and Brancher B series. They are also quite different, the Brancher being much brighter.
I have a Cannonball Raven and aesthetically speaking the Zagar is a perfect match. Sonically I don't think so, I like that piece in other tenors but not so much on the Cannonball (the bronze SBB is, but isn't black). Since looks is your driving factor I think a Zagar Cool or Hot School is a safe bet. And also a very afforable one.
p.s. Lookwise the Saxscape slim profile is black and as close as it comes to a metal piece. Another option...
