Does anyone know of any bis key modifications? My fingers and metacarpals (palm) are fairly long. Because of this it makes my grip pretty big. Using sugru I have had to raise the palms keys a significant amount to allow for better ergonomics. As part of the problem I am having issues reaching the bis key, my finger passes the key and I end up having to press it with one of my joints. Any suggestions and or photos?

Any good instrument repairman should be able to modify the bis key ergonomicly for you. Just be very clear about the problem you are having when you take it in and leave the rest to him/her.

Sounds like your hand position is a bit odd - maybe your fingers lying flat? Try curving the fingers so they sit on the pearls then the bis shouldn't be a problem.

They are curved correctly. I think my hands are just odd.
