Does anyone know anything about Bill Sears? He is the jazz saxophone teacher at Interlochen Arts Academy and I will be studying this year. Any info about his teaching or teaching style? His playing? I know he is a selmer artist....

Played alto with the Ashley Alexander Big Band. Bill Sears is featured on their CD Power Slide on the ballad "Ballad For A Rough Year". Man, he's awesome. :yikes!:

Bill is a fine player.

I heard him live many, many years ago in Bloomington Indiana. He's no academic wannabe. He's a real player in the real jazz tradition.
