Has anyone heard of the BG SB1 and SB2 coming to the US? I played a prototype a year ago, but haven't heard anything since. They are on the BG website and I know people in Europe who have them, but haven't heard a thing about them over here!
They're on Weiner Music's site right now. I'm curious how they sound(ed). They're made from a Zinner blank, I think. I've played on a Zinner mouthpiece piece with a classical facing done by Robert Scott which was excellent.
I was able to play a couple of those mouthpieces at a recent music convention in January. There was a lot of noise in the convention center but they seemed to have an excellent overall feel and response. I think that it is great that there is going to be more options for classical sax mouthpieces.
