That must be some pretty bizarre lighting because the first picture looks the same. The last just shows it closer.

It's a perspective trick.
Om the shot of the low Bb tone hole - the dark area on the tone hole is the leading edge - the lighter section, which looks like a bevel, is the interior of the trailing edge.

Thank you. You are certainly correct. After finding the tenor earlier this year with soldered tone holes I'm ready to believe almost anything about what Buescher may have done.
