Best Vintage Selmer Tenor Sax Tech In London

Hi All

I know this is like asking how long is a piece of string but I need to have a 1949 Selmer Tenor fully serviced and I may even get some new pads fitted

Needs corks and a neck cork and a couple of low note leaks sorted but I think its in need of a major service to get it in tip top playing shape despite it sounding wonderfully mellow

If anyone can recommend their preferred technician or store ideally in London or The South East of England I would be grateful but am prepared to travel anywhere to ensure a top tech does the work.

Thx camdavis...was plannng on taking t there but just wondered if anyone had a personal favourite specialist to whom they took their horns

Currently I am out of the country and have emailed sax.co.uk repair department via the email address on their website but they havent replied yet as to when I can book it in so thought I may as well canvess who people rated as the best techs around.

I have an excellent tech in Las Vegas (Zack at Sam Ash) whom I use when there but am not due to revisit until next year and dont want to wait that long

Ooops!......just called Sax.co.uk and apparently they are moving end of September so can only take in horns that can be simply sorted in less than an hour (eg re corking and felts) at their London Store as longer jobs mean they have to transport all the customer instruments with them.

Guess I will try their Sussex Branch and see what they say.....

Apparently they are moving to Blackfriars Bridge
