As the subject line says, I'd like opinions on soprano pegs. I've been thinking of the Hercules DS503B, but it seems too tall, and I don't need the adjustability to fit a fluegel.
Hercules works for all my horn. I have several stands, soprano only, 2 soprano and tenor/alto, clarinet, soprano, flute and two saxes and a baritone. They hold up to being used and abused.

I have both the Hercules and one of these Beechler pegs (which I bought for significantly less than currently advertised at WWBW). They both have their pros and cons. I like that the Hercules is adjustable, but it takes up significantly more space during transport (i.e., it doesn't fit in the bag that came with my Hercules sax stand). The Beechler is rock solid (and coated in a rubberized coating), and is much more compact, but could probably benefit from a strip of velvet material. I found that my soprano would sometimes stick to it (when I forgot to swab it out overnight).

I should add that the Beechler is thread-compatible with Hercules stands.

I second the use of a K&M, but they have ( I do too) several models, the one you show has three prongs (rather long ones in my copy), I would suggest OP buys the one with 5 prongs instead because it is equally stable but the prongs are shorter.

Depending on the soprano and its case you may be able to put it in the bell and carry it in the bell inside the case.

I have one that's wood and covered in "velvet like" material (I think actually a flocking). No idea the manufacturer, I bought it some 30+ years ago. I don't like the idea of those really tall ones, seems like in actual use it'd be fiddly to get the horn on and off. Mine is only about 4" tall.

I note that the thread size is not documented on either of the links above. Very exasperating!

I have a "universal" stand that I use for flute, alto flute, clarinet (not any more), soprano, and piccolo pegs. So I don't need the bottom part, just a peg.

I have the k&m and the hercules, both on combi stands. Both are solid and well made and you can't go wrong with either.

I have two of those. They came with an adapter for a Hamilton stand but won't fit anything else.
I think I'll look for a long screw that fits my stand and cut it to stick in the peg.
It's the best peg I've found for not damaging the bell or lacquer.

Use the K&M. I really dislike the springs in the hercules. You can even pickup a converter and use them for your hercules alto/tenor stand.

I use the 5-prong K&M too, but I modified it by gluing additional felt strips to the top, in line with the three felt cushions at the bottom. This provides good additional protection of the inside of the horn.

I have one like yours. I probably ought to sell it as I'm curvy-exclusive these days. But yeah, they take up little space, fit inside the bell for storage and will hold your horn.
I have made my own curved soprano from a Tenor/Alto Hercules and then , when I was given one by K&M, I discovered that it was the same as Tenor/Alt but then the bow was much more compressed ( which anyone can really do on his own, there is no need to buy one ).

K&M has also clarinet pegs that can still be used and are even smaller and lighter.

I like the one from Adorama, it probably works well, I would be somewhat concerned about its stability though.

Unless things have changed, the Hercules peg doubles as a Flugelhorn peg.
