What in your opinion is the best overall bari reed
Edit: not the brand bari, reeds for baritone sax

Also the reed is preferably for jazz

Depends on your horn, your mouthpiece, the kind of music you play and your level of development. However, to cut to the chase, the one you like best.

The only top quality bari reed I've found is Vandoren Red Java. I use a 2.5. Trouble is, they're away too expensive.

The best available alternative is Rico Royal, which are not as good, but very close. A Rico Royal 3 is about the same as a Red Java 2.5. If you shop around, you can get the Rico Royals for just over half the price of the Red Javas.

I see. Bari brand synthetics. I've never used synthetics of any brand on bari, always cane - but if Rico Royals take a nosedive (as they might under D'Addario the guitar stringers ownership) I might be tempted to try them.

You may like them Mike.
I hate them on any other horn but on Baritone they are terrific for me.
Having said that, I mostly use low baffle, large chamber pieces so that Fibracell buzz or edge may work in my favour.
