I bought a yamaha 5c mouth piece and selmer ligature from the same store and the dont work together. Ligature is way to large. Do i need a yamaha ligature?
Shouldn't have to use trial and error to find the correct Rovner. Anything else, yes. Rovner actually makes it pretty easy though. Just go to the 'sizing guides' section of their website and it will tell you all of the Rovner options for whatever mouthpiece you select. I wish every ligature maker was that easy!
According to Rovner’s chart, any “3R” should work. Problem is it costs more than your mouthpiece. I’d take a chance on a couple more cheap tenor ligatures.
