mrpeebee - bloody awesome mate!!! I recall the very first time I heard Ben Webster, it was late at night, I was tryin' to sleep and had the radio on soft. The radio guy played Ben's "My Funny Valentine" (tenor sax - piano) and as soon as that track ended I sprang out of bed to ring the radio station and man I was tired no more! AND obviously - I ain't ever forgotten.

A really great find! Thank you for sharing. Nice to see young Jimmy - a little more of a crooner than a shouter in his earlier days.

There's another great video somewhere on YouTube with Jimmy and Art Pepper playing a blues together in LA in the early '80s. No interview in that one, though.

And, oh man, Vince Guaraldi! Another favorite of mine.
