Just checking your fingering out. I see you're using front F a lot. I've considered using front F for anything over Eb. It just transitions better to the highest end of the horn, and makes the palm keys seem like a crutch.
Since I'm looking right at your fingers, that's what I saw. Seemed like the tones I was hearing were a little low for altissimo. I'd love to hear your thought on that.
Also, found it amazing how long you held onto low Bb after going there. Sorry to pick it apart. You're well beyond me, and this type of video is just an amazing avenue for me to learn on.
Great idea with the backing track as well. I have a few tracks that I've recorded with bands that I take the lead vox out and blow over.
Anything from heavy rock to polka.
The cool thing about the more aggressive tracks that I've worked on, it has made me realize that being on top or even ahead of the beat can be the right sound for a tune, specially on alto.
