Very beautiful oldie !

What's an "Ex-Professional" horn, exactly ?????

Was it demoted at some time or sumthin'...???????

probably the owner means that it was a professional horn at the time it was made and but it would no longer be considered that.

One word of warning about the pitch.

Sometime ago someone in Holland bought a very old Italian Bass and had it restored at a friend of mine workshop to find out, after the restoration, that the horn was an HP horn.

It is difficult to immediately find out about bass and baritones being High pitch because tuning can be wobbly at the best of times when we are talking of very old saxophones and they are not easy to measure.

well I've see older baritone cases with even more scars.....
