Someone should buy it and send it to Phil Barone as a joke.
Jon Van Wie once told me one of his methods for opening up the tip of a metal mouthpiece was to put it in a vice and start whacking the tip with a hammer.
I restored a NY Meyer alto piece before that had been very crudely filed and harshly buffed. It was a real travesty. But a stainless Berg? Forget it! Sell it at www.doorstops.com
woooooooow... I thought mine was bad but i just need a biteplate...
Cousin Earl and His Heliarc Welder to the Rescue

WAIT.... There's hope. My cousin Earl is pretty good welding on stainless steel. He recently put bigger breast on the stainless steel cut-out women on his truck mudflaps. They looked pretty good too. Kind'a like Anna Nicole after she got on TrimSpa. I'll bet Earl can fix this right up. ;)

Does Earl live down the road apiece in the fine Mo--bile home?
Looks like someone got stiffed at a gig and took the mouthpiece to the clubowner's head...maybe it's being sold on eBay to hide the evidence.
