Is it designed for a one-piece soprano or a detachable neck?

Based on the picture it's designed for a detachable neck. But Bam doesn't indicate either way.

You should be aware that at least some of the BAM soprano cases do not sit open but snap shut unless you hold it open. I think the Signature Series is the name of a model that did so. Not something I'd want.

I don't know, I play a Mark VI...not familiar with the Yamaha....

It's possible that the piece above the receiver is removable for a one piece soprano, but you should confirm with Bam
