Hi

Could anybody tell me what is the weight of the BAM softpack (tenor). I amtrying to choose between the Jakob Winter fibreglass (3.6kg) and the Jakob Winter Greenline (1.75kg).

The greenline is very light while also offering good portection and I like it for this reason. Would be grateful for any help.

Regards

The softpack is super-light. I am unsure of exact weight, but the protection BAM's proprietary foam provides the instrument is worth the price of admission.

Email BAM in the US at [email protected] and ask.

I've used the Softpacks (tenors and altos) for several years and love them, perfect for air travel.

I know this thread is about weight, but I don't understand something, and since there are some Bam Soft Case owners reading...

When they say they mold-inject the foam and the case takes on the exact shape of the instrument, what does that mean, exactly? Is the foam spongy?

It is the perfect balance of firmness and softness so it holds the instrument tightly, but gives some when the case takes a bump.
