Hello folks,

Ok, I have started the search for a reliable back up horn to my Selmer. My requirements are reasonable modern keywork--something I can teach lessons with as well as gig with; I have been playing a 140 Artistocrat but its a little too quirky to be comfortable with the teaching and gigging I would like to do with it. Any suggestions? My budget is limited, of course, and what I can get for the Buescher will influence my choices I suppose, but in general I am looking at a max of probably $1500....

What about a Yamaha 62II? Not sure what they cost these days though...

If its just a backup for occasional use while the main horn is unavailable, and you want a decent horn with Selmer ergos, but not the price ticket, you could do worse that a cheap (well less than $500 used) Antigua Winds 520 SA80 clone.
