I'm wondering if a B&S alto will fit in a gator abs flight case.

That shouldn't be a problem. Usually, it's Keilwerth saxes and ones with extra large bell that won't fit into standard cases. The 1000 does not have a larger than normal bell.

Actually, I'm not sure about the bell, but measure it first to see if it will fit.
