Amidst all the media saturation and mayhem lately it seems that the passing of Australian jazz great Don Burrows last week went largely unnoticed. Rest In Peace Don, you are a true legend.

This is the first I’ve heard of it.
Don Burrows was a name I heard more regularly when I was a teenager from The Don Burrows Collection.

I never liked Burrows' music much myself, but there is no denying his status of giant of Australian jazz.

I saw him once with George Gola about 30 years ago in NZ, and enjoyed it a lot, his clarinet playing as well!
