As per the title, is it possible to attach photos to private messages?
An option comes up to attach an URL but no option to choose file from phone, computer etc.
Any help appreciated.

Also can anyone with a iPad get the click-drag into box feature to work on reuse of pictures?

I've just sent you a test image, at my end it works fine , and operates like posting anything else with the same tools.

This is from URL, if you jave it on your computer you can load images on a hosting site (I use photobucket ) and copy the URL and paste.

Thanks Milandro.
I got your PM and the photo came through fine.
Is it possible to send a pic without first uploading it to a hosting site?
It would just save a little time and fumbling around when I鈥檓 not at the computer and only have phone available.
When sending a single photo from my own collection.

I can confirm that you cannot attach images to a PM.

I believe this may be a SOTW policy decision to stop any untoward sharing of dodgy images

Not that it would be very effective in doing so as anyone could upload to a private server and then link to that or embed from that using the image icon in the text editor in PMs.

Thanks for confirming.
Looks like I鈥檒l have to wait and use the host site option.

that is always the most practical thing to do.

External hosting is easy and doesn鈥檛 make the forum heavier than it should be.
