Hey All,
I've recently heard that some people are now claiming that their lawtons and theo wannes are very similar or the wannes are better. Does anyone have any experience with this comparison? I here it a lot for alto and tenor but what about baritone? All comments are appreciated.

I never played a Lawton, but I have to say that a Durga on bari is pretty special.

I've done just that. Played a very good Lawton for years on Bari and now playing a Durga 8*. I could tell you how much better the Durga is, but why don't you just try one, Theo has a trial policy. If you want to know whether they're worth the money, again just try one. You'll know in about 5 seconds! :)

PS I don't think that the Wannes are similar to a Lawton, just - well, you know. :bluewink:

Thanks, for the advice. I have one on its way. I've never played a lawton or a durga so I'm a little curious on both ends. How are they different? Tone, volume, ease of play, etc.? I can't wait for my Durga to come! By the way, I'm getting a vintified finish, do you or anyone know if the sound changes with the finish?

Lawtons and Wannes are in no way similar, you have been misinformed.
