As some of you know I ordered an Aquilasax Bb tenor from Steve and it arrived

This is my first tenor so I really am in no position to be intelligently critical of the horn. Let me just say that I spent a few hours with the horn and the Music Medic kit cleaning up some lower stack leaks (mostly, anyway. Still a few on the C#, B and Bb).

I LIKE IT!

I really don't know what else to say. I'll try to record some clips during the week.

Sorry, no clip yet.

The more I play this horn, the more impressed I am with it. It blows freely from low Bb to high F#. The intonation of the horn is better than the intonation of my lips. The tone is rich, full, smokey-bar like.

I'd really be surprised if I could have done better for $1000, let alone the $500 this sax costs.

More info please!!!

Rwoka,
Please bring more info! :D I'm dying to know.

How do the keys feel? Is it a pro type opening, or are the keys high (far from the body) like a student horn? How's the action in the left pinky stack? Palm keys? G#?

How's the case?

Can you share some photos? And the sound clip would be great too!!

The more I wait for that deal that could be around the corner, the more frustrated I become. If I could pull the trigger on an AS Tenor, too, I'd be content.

What mouthpiece are you playing on?

Thanks!
