Well, let’s see … if I can still remember back to my days playing guitar in cover bands: I believe the song is in D. At any rate, during the harmonica solo, the guitars are playing G for two measures, D for two measures, G for two measures, then D for two measures. So that’s A7 and E7 on tenor, or E7 and B7 for alto. I would just start fooling around with the major blues scales: ie, on tenor A-B-C-C#-E-G and E-F#-G-Ab-D. Don’t fancy it up. Play call and response patterns. Throw in a couple honks and growls and you’re golden.
