As for the style, I don't want anything too impressionistic, and preferably I don't want to have to play in the altissimo register. Other than that, any difficulty is fine.
Ibert (you can get away with only doing a bit of altissimo in that) but its not for full orchestra
Dahl - again there are lots of optional altissimo in it
Tomasi - no altissimo
Milhaud, scaramouche
villa lobos - good if you play sop
Rodney Bennet - can't remember if that has altissimo though...
Dubois
I have been working on the Henri Tomasi concerto for a while now and I must say it is the most beautiful and technical concerto I have ever heard...for any instrument. Perhaps you would enjoy it too.
