So I had pretty much decided now on a Yas-23, as most of the literature I've read on them are very good, but then I ran across a King 660, I can't find much discussions on it, but the few I found were good reviews, anyone here have any opinions? Yas-23 vs King 660
The King sounds much better. It is a UMI-era horn, late '90's. I have worked on a few 660's and 662's, and the quality of their build is very good. These were not marketed as beginner horns back in their day...they were upper-shelf models.
It isn't a particularly known quantity, as you have discovered. If you had a choice, I'd say go for the 660.
