No need to hide, these are well worthy of any attention!

Since I bought an old Marigaux d'amore, I've been doing pretty much all my practice on it! I can't put it down, and certainly making the most of the Bach excerpts book I have. And I can see why Bach used them - it's easy to get on with, and if only oboes made the same sounds d'amores make!

Hearing Albrecht Meyer's playing on his current album of Handel should also gain the d'amore more respect among players, and generate more interest in the mezzo-soprano member of the oboe family.

Heinz Holliger's d'amore playing was what won me over, and inspired me to get one. And I found one at a good price, so I bit the bullet and went for it, and don't regret it for a second.
