basically just what the question asks--

Has anyone played or had experience with the new Rhodes Mark 7?

They sure look cool. They now offer a standard passive (like the original), a piano with an active preamp (with effects loop, equalizer and stereo XLR out) and another model that has an actual MIDI out, so the piano can be used as a controller as well.

They are pretty spendy, especially since you can pick up a nice used vintage Rhodes for less than a grand--just curious to see if anyone here on the forum knows much about them.

Sorry Spooner I still have my Dad's mid-70's suitcase, had it rebuilt last year and use it in my studio through a 15 watt tube amp into a 12" Celestion - and I'm still enamored
