I've got a Hercules stand and a low A bari. The bell of the sax flares out to the right and as a result the center of mass does not fall in line with the contact points of the stand. The horn wants to roll out.

I can not use this stand this way. Should I try to bend the bell yoke to match the bell? Is there a stand that accommodates this bell geometry?
I do not want a clamp-type (Jiffy, et.al.) stand.

That's what I did on my Hercules stand. Works fine now.

Make the stand fit the instrument in whatever way you need to or can. I've had to modify every one of my stands to properly fit my alto.
