I come in on tenor at 3.05. This is a tune I wrote back in 86 and was recorded in Detroit with Was not Was and New York. There was a hurricane back then too and I
recorded the solo in Calliope studio in the garment district of Manhatten. The streets were quite deserted and windows taped up.
The drummer is Steve Ferone from Average White Band who was playing in the Village in a trio with Jaco and Stevie Winwood!
I was playing a Yamaha 62 and an STM 7 star Link I'd just bought at Manny's.
I think my playing has changed a bit since then though I still quite like this solo
Very 80's. Happy Days.
