Hi,

Last week I received the mouthpiece I bought from SOTW member "Selmer".

Just now I am trying it, but I don't know, although it is a good piece I am afraid it isn't my cup of tea.

I have a Freddie Gregory on the way, I would like to compare them.
But I think I will sell a MINT (only tried) AMMA 7*. I will let you know.

The best,
Anselmo

You do realise, don't you, that you are now obliged to post a detailed comparison of the two?

What type of Freddie Gregory did you order?

I have a Gold 8 AMMA and just recently acquired a hard rubber F. Gregory 8*. The AMMA measures 109 (I think) and the F.G. measures 115.

They are completely different pieces. The AMMA is mellow. Nice tone, but not what I thought it would be considering the hype.

The F.G. I have has a HUGE tone. I could go on about the F.G., but I'll keep it to myself as I am still figuring it out. I'm curious what you have to say about the 2 pieces.

I'm thinking of getting a Freddie Gregory for alto as well.

Hi,

I have ordered a Metal Classic model M-II. But indeed, it will be customized. Freddie is going to arrange a M-II and then I will go to his workshop for trying it.

He made me the advise of taking an intermediate model between M-I and M-II (keeping in mind the sound I am looking for and the material the piece is made). Then we will start with the M-II and .........................we'll see.

The best,
Anselmo
