There's a saxophone I'm looking at online right now, and the bell says Climax American made in USA. No matter how I look at it, it's identical to a Conn new invention, even with the Conn patent on the back. Is this actually a Conn new invention, or just some knock off? And if it is a Conn, how much would it be worth if it were fully overhauled?

It’ll be worth much the same after an overhaul, but it’ll play a lot better. Don’t buy it and overhaul it unless you intend to keep it to play.

It's a Conn Pan American stencil - the P in front of the serial number is for Pan American. After an overhaul it will, unfortunately, probably be worth less than half the cost of the overhaul.
