Hello,
i am looking for arrangements, contrafacts for a pianoless quartet for two horns, if anyone wants to share. I have a gig next week and i am trying to make some contrafacts but i have no time to do much.
Thanks in advance!

2 sax players and 2 bass drum players? What an odd combination. In that case you really only need sax duet arrangements. The dual bass drums can improvise. Have you considered replacing the second bass drum player with a guitar or bass or something like that?

If you get a Dixieland fake book, everybody could improvise.

One comma makes a huge difference. It read “bass drums”.

I’d do familiar tunes with harmonized melodies like So What, All Blues, (just about everything else on Kind of Blue), Blue Trane, Footprints, Line for Lyons, etc. where the alto player could read the melody and the tenor could harmonize by ear. There’s also more modern tunes like Pick Up the Pieces with a nice alto/tenor line that you can find online.
