Well, the most I can see for Otto links - Benny Carter played a Tone Master and Joe Allard played a Reso chamber and the tone edge special created with his name on it.

I looked at some photos and videos of Manu Dibango playing live and it looked like he was always playing a Tone Edge.
And Ian Hendrickson-Smith plays an STM on alto.
