hi there i am a newbie that is new to saxophone,

finally took the effort to start learning now, hopefully i will be able to learn Jingle bell by Xmas (yes this is the first song i want to learn)
bought a 2nd hand alto saxophone earlier on and slowly playing it.. like once every 2-3 days when i can find time to relax :)

happy to find this forum hope can learn faster with encouragement and tips from the seniors here

If you can find the time and the budget, get yourself a teacher and try for lessons once a week. Even if you can only afford this for a couple of months, it would be very beneficial.

I would second attempting to gain a teacher (even if only for a couple months).

I agree with what they said but also let me add this: there is a host of inexpensive online teachings for beginners on the saxophone. Try youtube.

Here is the link for one of my old teachers we lessons. He is fantastic at pedagogy and will get you where you need to be.
