What are good mouthpieces for theses instruments. The student is a 9th grader good player. Should the Alto and Tenor mouthpieces have the same specs. Are the selmer solists mpcs. still good. Looking for info.

Here are some suggestions:

Jazz: Vandoren V16 A6M Hard Rubber (for Alto); Vandoren V16 T6 Hard Rubber (for Tenor)
Classical: Vandoren Optimum AL3 or Selmer S-80 C* (for Alto); See this thread (for Tenor)

No, alto and tenor mouthpieces shouldn't necessarily be of the same model. It's up to the player.
