I searched a while to find a decent backing track for this number.. The backing does have a few audio glitches on it but there's little I can do to eliminate them so hopefully the rest of the recording will make up for it. It was more of an exercise for me in playing the melody as close as possible to the original vocal and not fancying it up. It was quite a while before I got a take I was reasonably happy with (this one) but there are still a few things I would change however I do have other work to get on with so here it is:-

It's a beautiful song done so well by many (a really lovely version by Stevie Wonder with Bacharach and Obama in the audience springs to mind)

Many thanks for listening if you have time. It's only one complete chorus so not too long.

Kind regards, Alex

Very nice recording Alex, you succeeded very well in playing it clean and tasty. :)

I also recorded this for me at that time unknown song over 4 years ago, but only in a quick and dirty single take, without much preparation.
Did share it >here< in my big 'PeeBee with backings' thread in post #107 (it's the second clip in that post).

I liked the backing I used, so let me know if you're still searching for another one and want a copy of it.

Beautiful Playing Alex. Thats a lovely tune, and I hadn't given it much of a look before. You're always killing it, and I love it from start to finish, completed by a sublime series of ending notes that perfected that tune! Thanks for sharing.
