Love it! Warren Vache is one of the all-time great‘s and you just don’t hear about him at all. He was a huge force on all of those Concord Jazz records.
I have always dug Al’s playing. Smooth and colorful but he could really dig in. I loved the stuff with Zoot, because their approaches were different. I always enjoyed that stuff. It’s like the stuff with Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt. Both amazing players, but the approaches are different and work so well together.
