Looking for some advice. Been playing Sop now for about a year and enjoying that. But lately I'm finding I prefer the alto or tenor sound so I was thinking of getting an alto as well. It then occured to me that perhaps there are some other options such as trialing more mouthpieces that might give me a sound closer to what I like in an alto on my sop. I guess I'm talking about that typical jazz, full, round, perhaps dark sound. Apologies for lack of words to describe that.
Of course I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for me to be playing both sop and alto... just looking for what may be the best option.
