Just picked a Drake VRJT Jazz tenor mouthpiece and it play's great. Nice linkish design but a lot easier to play. Great alternative for metal Link players. Wondering if any of you are using one of these? Also did you tried the ceramic chamber version? Aaron said that the ceramic chamber gives more presence. What's your experiance?
Here is the standard VRJT 8 with a D'addario Jazz Select 3H filed reed.

I have one called the NY Jazz and it's anything but dead. Drake makes some nice designs and really good playing mouthpieces, but maybe too many choices.
Have to agree there.
The NY Jazz is a great piece as is his Reso model.
His Rollover Baritone piece is also very nice.

True, Brecker played a Link before his throat bursted. That just tells us that it´s more the way you play rather than the gear. Chapeau, Pawel!
Thanks - glad you like it. Always loved that Brecker vibe so totally agree with the above statement. I prefer to work to get that sound on a linkish design as it doesn't sacrify the fulness and gives me more control.

I briefly had one of these last winter in a 7* facing with the ceramic chamber. Really nice mpc! I think the ceramic chamber gave it some extra oomph and clarity but I didn’t click with the resin material. Maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance, but I didn’t think it had enough of a presence compared to the hr mpcs I was more used to.
