I like this.

Person X: "So, what style of music do you play?"
Ben: "Demented 30's music, why?"
Because its so busy you can't hear the heavy rock part.

Wow, that's different. Not exactly rock but more like demented 1930s music.
LOL, now there's an interesting point of view. Wade, what exactly do you mean when you say the low dynamics are clipped. I want to do a live recording at this venue, so any info you can give me would help.

@ ATeamMusic - I recorded the show using all the on stage mics into a laptop :) The sound guy did it for me. My setup is a silver Super Balanced Action, Florida era Super Tone Master, and Unfiled Rico Jazz Select.

@Saxphil, is that conversation commentary or musical feedback?

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Hi Ben,

Not sure if it's just my crap computer speakers, but this sounds like too much of the spectrum is taken up with mid and highs. Can you look at this mix as a histogram? I hear very little in the bottom range. Makes the sax and tuba sound tinny. Maybe others with better set-ups or real monitors can check this for you?

I thought it was good and different.

I think the heavy rock part needs to be integrated in a better way and a guitar solo would be good as well and I think the novelty parts were good.

Just a few suggestions.

Wade, I agree that the mix is top heavy. I thought you were joking about the tuba! It's electric bass. Anyways, yeah the guy who mixed this live recording did it very quickly. Not enough drums and definitely top heavy.
