It took many years, but I finally found a great MKVI tenor sax. Tough I have other two of them, this is one is really superb.
No dings, no dents, mint condition. Sometimes I doubt if this one was was relacquered. However, why should someone would make it in an almost unused sax?!
Engravings are still crispy and I assume it's an original one. Any hint?

I've been playing my '65 MKVI tenor for nearly 40 years and while I don't subscribe to the serial # myths, I think this is truly a great horn. So whether or not there's anything to the specific era of your VI, I'm not surprised you've found a great one!
