It took many years, but I finally found a great MKVI tenor sax. Tough I have other two of them, this is one is really superb.
No dings, no dents, mint condition. Sometimes I doubt if this one was was relacquered. However, why should someone would make it in an almost unused sax?!
Engravings are still crispy and I assume it's an original one. Any hint?

It looks great, indeed. Trying to forget the mystique, the hype, the expectations and, fortunately, what really matters is that it really sounds fantastic. A full package.

I've been playing my '65 MKVI tenor for nearly 40 years and while I don't subscribe to the serial # myths, I think this is truly a great horn. So whether or not there's anything to the specific era of your VI, I'm not surprised you've found a great one!
