6 BRAND NEW GEN ll 10MFAN BLACK WIDOW METALS!
This is my "crossover" model.
For the guys that play Links and more straightahead pieces and are looking for more power, brightness, and punch that they just can't get from those pieces....this will do it for them.
It is a medium height long baffle, so it allows players who play lower or medium type baffles to not feel so intimidated like they might with a high baffle piece. This will get plenty of punch and power, but not as bright as a bright Guardala model or Dukoff SPC.
For the guys who play pop and funk and stuff like that, who are used to a higher baffle mpc, many of those guys love this model even more, because it'll offer more flexibility, less harshness, and you don't need to worry about chirping. It has loads of volume available with a HUGE BODY OF SOUND.
For me, BRAND NEW GEN ll 10MFAN BLACK WIDOW METALS!!!!!!

It has loads of volume available with a HUGE BODY OF SOUND, and it can certainly be tamed.
For me, its powerful and not overly bright, but mileage will vary based on your skill level, reed choice, etc...
I will put up three clips by my SOTW friend Greg Hawkins, who has had his new Gen ll Black Widow Metal for a while now. When you listen to him play Danny Boy, you can hear the power and punch but also lots of warmth.
The nice thing is, this can be used for straightahead or funk, pop, blues, etc....with lots of power available.
It's really great for the player who typically plays warm and just can't seem to get any brights out of his pieces, and for the more contemporary player who wants more fatness and body to the sound, opposed to the high baffle super bright pieces. For the guy who plays really bright, they will be able to warm it up more with this piece. It's really got a little something for many players.
