Hey,
I've found a 1949 Buescher Aristocrat on ebay, serial-329941
Is this still a great horn like the earlier ones and the big b's and such?
Also i heard the action on this horns isn't the best and the g#cluster is pretty hard to navigate. Anyone with any input on that?

thanks for the response
do these horns have any sort of probelms or are they poor in any aspect?
The biggest problem with these is.....time, because once you start playing a well setup Crat you probably can't put it down.
Really these are top of the line horns in both alto and tenor. Very flexible with great tone and really smooth action and ergos. Just like Dave said, superb horns.

Just for further emphasis: WHEN THEY ARE WELL SET UP.

If you are looking at the one I think you are, the relac doesn't help the value nor do the neck patches, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great player. It is a Big B, BTW.
I don't think the seller mentions anything about having the original snap ons and Nortons, or if there is any play in the action. I would ask if I was going to bid very strongly on it. It has a reserve so who knows if it can bought for what it is worth or if the seller is a dreamer.
