I think I read a recent post somewhere on here that alto clarinet reeds work also for alto sax. Is this not so? As I don’t have an alto clarinet I have no way to see.

anyone ever try alto clarinet reeds on alto sax? They seem to be the same width except the alto clarinet reeds are longer and have a longer cut. Just curious - i seem to have about 15+ boxes of alto clarinet reeds laying around now and have no idea what to do with them.

Hello, size-wise alto sax reeds seem to fit the mouthpiece of an alto clarinet. Is something to say against the usage of alto sax reeds? Just tried Yamaha 5C mouthpiece with 3.5 Fibracell Premium artificial reed. Works very well, so it seems. Any other recommendations for that MPs reed-wise?
