If you take some high resolution images of the engravings, I'm sure someone can help you out. The pictures you have are very difficult to make out as far as sharpness or the engravings, but just based on those pics it looks relacquered, but better pictures and several from different angles with and without flash will make it easy to tell.

I can see the seams, even in the MPC cap. It's unmolested original finish in my opinion. I think there's very little lacquer left but it's original never refinished.

Probably should have told them it was relacqed at least 5 times. :mrgreen: Wouldn't have been honest, but it would have been a hellava steal on eBay. :)
