As the title suggest I am looking for if anyone owns a Conn 12M and knows if it fits in a BAM case. Please do not post by looking at the BAM sight and saying that it should or shouldn't fit. Only post if you know for sure that it does or doesn't. thank you.

I tried my 12M in a BAM case and it did not fit right.
It was going to require modifying the interior to make it fit.
Try before you buy.

I have an old Buescher 400 that is 'similar' to your Conn. It fits exceptionally well in the ProTec case that I got in June.
If you haven't looked onto one of these yet, it may be an option.
My 'kids' purchased mine from ebay at a VERY reasonable price.

Thank you bandmommy. I have actually looked into buying one of these and have read that they fit Conn 12M's very nicely, but I am looking for a case that can save the bari's life if something ever happens to it. I want to protect this bari as much as possible and just by looking at the picture of the ProTec I can already tell it's not nearly as strong as the BAM Hightech cases. Thanks though

I wrote about how my 12M didn't fit a while back here in this other thread.

This was at PMWoodwind in Chicago.

Prior to that, I called SaxQuest in St. Louis and asked if my horn would fit. They had a similar S/N Conn sitting there and they told me it didn't fit (safely) without modifications.

I'm not saying you can't make it work, but that's a lot of money for a case that needs to be modified. If you want to spend that much money, perhaps a custom case (perhaps a Manning) would be your best bet.

what about a walt johnson?
I just got one.

I wasn't going to recommend that since the quality of his products are considered inconsistent as of late and I hear he's a bit of a pain to deal with.

I like mine, but I wouldn't have gotten it if it hadn't been sitting in the store and I was able to check it out before purchase.

Don't sell that ProTec case short. It's more 'substantial' than it looks in the photos.
If I didn't think it was a 'worthy' option I wouldn't have suggested it. :)
