Never thought I'd ask this question but I picked a pair of SML and Marigaux pins (promotional/novelty items I guess for dealers, etc.). One has a pair of oboes and 'Marigaux' in big letters across the instruments The other has a straight soprano and tenor sax and 'Yanagisawa' in big letters...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-Silver-SML-Strasser-Marigaux-Rev-D-Alto-Saxophone-just-overhauled-/171129385613 I've contacted the seller music-oldtimer-com that this horn is not a 'Rev. D' but instead a Rev. B era (early 1940s) 'Standard' which uses 'Rev. A' tooling and lacks many features...

Not my photos...

My wife's great aunt recently sent me this saxophone which belonged to her husband who recently passed away. I was trying to find out which model it is? It says Marigaux SML Paris on the front of the bell and says Made in Germany below the serial number 85XX. I wanted to know how old it is...

Hi, My name is Jakop from Indonesia. I've just joined SOTW. I have a KING Marigaux soprano saxophone "Paris France" (26324) with the original SML KING mpiece R4. It's silver. I bought it in 1986 in Singapore (Swee Lee Music). Played it for gospel music band only since I'm a church musician...
