  1. Evette & Schaeffer Buffet-Crampon, S.A.
Hi fellow sax-players. Long-time browser, first-time poster here. I've been looking for a used bari for quite some time and one finally came in yesterday to my local music store here in the DC area. I gave it a spin in the store and found it good enough for the price ($1195). Blows easily...

Think the SENZO Saxophone is a *classical* horn only? THINK AGAIN. The new Buffet SENZO Saxophone continues to impress both hard hitting jazz players and serious classical saxophonists alike! Big thanks to Bob Reynolds as he presents the new BUFFET SENZO alto saxophone. Buffet Crampon has...
  3. Cases
Hi there, I bought a Buffet Crampon SDA tenor recently. The case that came with it is worn down (not the original case) so I'm thinking of buying a case that is safe, sturdy, and with good paddings. Sometimes I need to put it in the shelving area so I always took advantage of the rubber feet on...
  4. Advice on Buying or Selling a Saxophone
Hi there, I'm wondering if someone could help me find the average price and year of make for a Buffet Crampon Super Dynaction tenor saxophone with serial number 7621. The sax is in good shape for its age and recently overhauled and restored, and pads and corked changed. Thanks.
  5. Advice on Buying or Selling a Saxophone
Hi there, I'm considering checking a Buffet Crampon S-1 tenor for purchase as the cheaper alternative to the focused core French tenor sound I'm looking for. I had an offer for an SDA tenor a while ago which I think is still available. A- I was wondering if someone could comment on the sound of...

  7. Cases
I have a sweet SDA but the protec case is a total waste of money and did not protect my sax at all. Which case fits the SDA the best? I don't want to spend money on unnecessary repairs when I can get a case that protects the sax. Any suggestions would be appreciated as the music stores around...
  8. Necks
hi folks.... I have a Tenor Buffet Super Dynaction without neck. I´ve tried some (LA, yana, yamaha).. but the sound is not good.. mainly in terms of intonation. The yamaha neck performed well.... So I read some articles of Barone neck on SDA... and I decided to try. So, if you have a barone...

  10. Clarinet

  11. Alto mpc
currently I'm using a link STM (6*), and its nice, but my backup piece, a Buffet hard rubber that came with my backup horn, is starting to be more enjoyable to play for a funky horn section. its less "in your face" than the link, which is buzzy and loud. I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to...
  12. Clarinet
I would like to sell my daughter's unused clarinet, but I don't know the first thing about them. Printed on its all the pieces is "Buffet Crampon & Cie A Paris E11" I believe we between 500 and a thousand for it, but I don't remember anything more specific.
