I need information for recording situation.Alto sax with jazz tone (not vibrant like my tenor serie III reg laquer)I am betewen yani a-992 bronze,serieIII in-mate finish or black or ref54 alto and guardala 403et.Someone ad an opinion in this question or have experience with this.Where i can have this information?.Sorry my poor english

At moment no but i think the selmer in 2003 go out with a ref 54 alto.I read this in some place in this forum.

Yes I know its rumored that Selmer will follow the Reference tenors with some kind of reference or special edition alto. Get ready for the Cigar Cutter 2003! C'mon who's with me???!!! ha ha! Anyway, I too think it is impossible to comment on anything about this horn right now.

I got a millenium alto and Imho it has a vintage selmer sound (great for boppin), It's a series 3 but has a dark tone, i have owned series 2 & 3s and this millenium is by far the best for jazz.....still thinking about an additional horn for r&b, cannonball maybe!!

Very much doubt that the ref:54 alto will take me away from the millenium, I just prefer this horn too any mV1 I have played......u never know though
