In Sax on the Web Jazz saxophone Series:

Chord derived from 2nd Step
Jazz Melodic Minor Scale

by Tim Price

Tim Price

On this minor 7th flat 9 study, we use the jazz melodic minor scale to bring out this beautiful chord sound. I wrote this out using full range-the entire saxophone range! You must go slowly, work out your fingerings, and take one line at a time. This is NOT sight reading!

To develop the altissimo skills of great players like Mike Brecker, Charlie Mariano, John Stubblefield, Ernie Watts, or Bert Wilson...  you must put your skill and knowledge to use. You can start here, and also have some big fun!

As always, start this study about quarter=60 and go from there.

Go for it and have fun-
